UNEMPLOYED BOYS

PLACING IN POSITIONS. WELLINGTON COMMITTEE’S WORK. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, April 9. During the year ended March 31 the Wellington Boys’ Employment Committee placed 1269 boys, 763 in permanent positions, 323 in temporary positions and 183 in the country. Of the placements, only 139 boys came from school, while 1130 were unemployed. There was great difficulty in placing boys from 18 to 20, and their plight represents one tragic feature of the present situation.
