EARTHQUAKE REPORTS
HARM IN AUSTRALIA. AUCKLAND VISITOR’S ALLEGATION. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, April 7. Mr Grey Campbell, a member of the Auckland City Council, who returned from Sydney to-day, said a great deal of harm was being done to the Dominion in Australia by exaggerated earthquake reports. Reports of the recent quake were featured and one paper on the day following the quake had as a headline “No News From New Zealand.” He knew that a number of tourists cancelled their passages because of such publicity, and he _ urged that the Government should impose a rigorous censorship.
