ENGLAND TO AUSTRALIA RUBINS AND WALLER AT DARWIN SURVEY OF ROUTE (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7 p.m.) Darwin, April G. The airmen Bernard Rubins and Ken Waller left Koepang this morning and arrived at Darwin at 12.23 p.m. . Rubins and Waller left Lympne (England) at 8.40 a.m. on March 22. Messrs Rubins and Waller are remaining about ten days in Australia and will return by the same route after visiting Sydney and Melbourne. Their object is to survey the route of the Centenary race as Mr Rubins intends flying a new type of Comet machine. Their present machine is a Leopard Moth with an enclosed cabin. Mr Rubins is Australian-born and served with the Imperial Forces. Mr Waller is a native of Kent.
