NOTORIOUS INDIAN BRIGANDS. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.10 p.m.) Calcutta, April 6. Eleven notorious brigands awaiting trial for a village hold-up in Bhagalpur State made a daring escape from gaol in Bhagalnagar yesterday and are at present terrorizing the countryside. They tricked a sentry into opening the cells, seized his rifle and shot and severely wounded him. Then they looted the police armoury, taking eleven guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and fled into the jungle.
