OVERHANGING GRASS.

To the Editor.

Sir,—Permit me through your valuable columns to draw attention to the bad state of the footpaths in Liddel street through overhanging grass. Two pedestrians in many places cannot walk abreast without getting their clothing and footwear wet. What are councillors thinking about to let this state of things exist? What about unemployed labour! It is time a little more attention was paid to this part of the town, and a little less to the gardens and hothouse run by the Corporation. Hoping for some improvement at once.—l am, etc., “ANTI-PLUVIAL.”
