NEW FRENCH QUOTAS
PROTEST BY AMERICA.
(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Paris, January 4.
The American Embassy has joined the protesters against the new quotas. The Government officially explains that the reservation of the right to withdraw the 10 per cent, coal quotas in which Britain is vitally interested does not imply any impending reduction, but is merely a bargaining weapon on behalf of French exports.
