THE NELSON CASE
CROSS-EXAMINATION PROCEEDING.
(By Radio—Special to Press Association.)
(Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Apia, January 5. The cross-examination of Inspector Braisby at the trial of O. F. Nelson is still proceeding. Yesterday, as the result of a complaint of the Crown Prosecutor, the Chief Judge ruled that the use of the Mau salute by the defendant in acknowledgment of a salute from Mau members congregated at the Courthouse was a breach of the bail conditions and prejudical to the defendant’s interests, as it constituted an offence.
