COLONEL LINDBERGH
RECORD IN PRESENTS.
The famous airman, Colonel Lindbergh, who combined a sight-seeing tour of Europe with efforts to avoid hero-worshippers, is said to have received more gifts from admirers than any other unofficial person in history. They occupy a special wing in a museum at St. Louis, and have been visited by millions of people. They range from toothpaste and boxing gloves to precious stones and a priceless manuscript of the Koran. Colonel Lindbergh is a teetotaller and non-smoker. When in Stockholm recently he horrified the guests at a supper given in his honour by asking for, and drinking, milk! He is a born mechanic, and sees to every detail of his machine himself. Mrs Lindbergh is probably the only flying woman who wears earrings. They are small and inconspicuous, and are mascots given her by one of her friends. She is a great believer in and lover of mascots, and has hundreds of them. She has also religious mementoes, some of which are tucked away under her tunic. Her health, which at one time was severely threatened by her great grief in the kidnapping of her. elder little boy, is now completely restored.
