LAKE COLERIDGE
SUPPLY OF POWER. ANXIETY RELIEVED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, January 4. The water is now running freely from Lake Coleridge into the Rakaia river after two years’ patient conservation by the electrical branch of the Public Works. The nominal overflow level is 1672 feet.
This morning the lake reading was 1672.45 feet. The position relieves the authorities of any anxiety regarding the power supply in 1934.
