MANY ATTRACTIONS.
Bowlers, athletes, knights of the axe and saw. aquatic enthusiasts and racegoers will have provided for their enjoyment a full programme of holiday fixtures in Southland over the New Year and lovers of the great outdoors, provided the weather conditions hold as favourable as they were yesterday, will be faced with the difficulty of deciding which particular attraction to patronize. The full programme of events is as follows:— To-day. Southland Bowling Centre’s New Year tourney. Monday, January 1. Tuatapere Axeman’s Athletic Society’s annual sports. Waikaia Athletic Society’s annual sports. Port Molyneux Caledonian Society’s annual sports. Wyndham races. Bluff Jubilee Regatta. Southland bowling tourney. Tuesday, January 2.
Southland Racing Club’s meeting. Kelso, Greenvale and North Gienkenich Caledonian Society’s Jubilee sports. Riversdale sports meeting. Southland bowling tourney. Wednesday, January 3.
Southland Racing Club’s meeting. Southland bowling tourney. Thursday, January 4. Otara sports meeting. Saturday, January G. Wairio sports meeting.
