BRIEF SESSION ANTICIPATED. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.0 p.m.) Washington, December 28. After conferring with the President, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Rainey, predicted that the Congressional session would be brief with no disturbance over the administration’s monetary and other programmes. Mr Rainey declared that the Democratic majority not only approved of the monetary programme thus far, but with even a little encouragement from the President would monetize silver and “broaden our monetary base considerably.”
