Publications Received

THE NEW IDEA. Besides containing a free pattern of a lady’s frock (34 inch bust) the latest edition I have received of The New Idea—the one published on December

22—contains some most enjoyable holiday reading. The filmland gossip is an interesting feature and many illustrations of smart summer styles will be appreciated by readers. No doubt the article on kissing—that absorbing sub-ject-will also interest many. It is a particularly interesting number and well worth reading.

THE JANUARY “EVERYLADY’S.”

This edition of that most interesting magazine has free patterns for a lady’s striped frock, plain frock, lady’s shorts and a child’s petticoat. There are several pages devoted to illustrations of the latest in holiday beach wear and the photographs of the wedding of Melbourne’s Lord Mayor are delightful. Several stories and many articles on all that interest the housewife and mother, combine to make the January number a most readable one.
