FIREWORKS EXPLODE
AN EXCITING SCENE. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, December 26. Excitement was caused at Lyttelton on Saturday night when one of a party of boys letting off fireworks in London street threw a lighted cracker into the stall of a Chinese fruiterer where there were large parcels of all kinds of fireworks. Immediately there was a succession of explosions in all directions with sky rockets shooting into the heavens and mountain lights blazing merrily while the Chinese yelled excitedly.
