LOVELOCK’S MILE
OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE.
(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) New York, December 25. A nation-wide poll of sports editors taken by the United Press voted J. E. Lovelock’s record mile run at Princeton last summer as the outstanding sports performance in America in 1933. He received 48 votes to 45 for Carl Hubell, the pitcher of the New York Giants’ champion baseball team.
