BRITISH GOODS.
To the Editor.
Sir, Your correspondent “Britisher” has sounded the warning to all patriotic New Zealanders. If we lose the British market for our produce, disaster to our Dominion will quickly follow. There is too much lip-service and not enough practical help given to Britain in her hour of need. Just because the Americans have depreciated their dollar to serve their own ends, we have lately been flooded witlx American goods. Within the last week to quote a few examples, a local manufacturer, a doctor and even a meat exporter have purchased American motor cars. Yet these people are loudest in their cries against the quota being put on our produce. Where is their sense of justice and fair play? Every farmer in this countiy should boycott these betrayers of our country for displaying the “White feather. —I am etc., FAIR PLAY.
