PRINCE OF WALES
YORKSHIRE TOUR CONCLUDED. (British Official W’ireless.) Rugby, December 15. The Prince of Wales concluded his three days’ tour of Yorkshire in Bradford, which suffered heavily during the severest phase of the depression. He learned with keen satisfaction that the number of local unemployed had fallen from 36,000 in 1931 to fewer than 14,000. At Morley the Prince worked a hand loom and was presented with a scarf. Although the Prince’s visit was informal great crowds gathered to welcome him.
