NAVAL RECRUITING
BIG DRIVE CONTEMPLATED.

Sir Dudley Pound, the Second Sea Lord, revealed Admiralty plans for a big recruiting drive. Enlistment at present, he said, had reached rockbottom and 8000 new men a year henceforth were necessary to maintain the strength of the service and fill the places of those whose time had expired. Only a small increase in the personnel was contemplated.
