ATLANTIC LINER
TOUR ROUND THE WORLD. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, December 15. The liner Empress of Britain, which sailed from Southampton for New York after its annual overhaul, will, after a cruise from New York to the West Indies, proceed on a 30,000-mile trip round the world, taking 124 days. This will be the liner’s third round-the-world voyage. Passengers to New York in the vessel included the American Ambassador, Mr J. W. Bingham, and Mrs Bingham, who will spend Christmas with their family. The Ambassador will return to London in February.
