MT. COOK
PEAKS TRAVERSED. WOMAN’S FEAT. (Per United Press Association.) Timaru, December 1. Miss Lilian Familton, of Oamaru, accompanied by Guides Bowie and Souter, made a traverse of the three peaks on Mt Cook in 17 hours. Good weather was experienced. Miss Familton is believed to be the first woman to make the trip from the Hooker on the west side to the Tasman side.
