BRITISH CUSTOMS
DEVELOPMENT IN FRANCE.
SCENT MAGNATE'S GRIEVANCE.
(United Press Assn.— Telegraph Copyright.) Paris, November 30.
The scent magnate, M. Francois Coty, made an astonishing attack on Britain in his newspaper Lamidu Peuple, which cites grievances against Britain from the time of Joan of Arc. He says: “Britain has imposed her parliamentary system upon us. She has accustomed us to her sports, her social usage, her favourite pleasure, boxing, to Salvation Army literature and to music halls. Anglo-mania overflows into all our domains, denaturalizing us a little more each day. This demiservitude has reduced France to the role of a British dominion.”
