DAMAGES AWARDED
FATHER OF STUDENT. SON DRIVEN INSANE. (United Press Assn. —Telegraph Copyright) (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) Vancouver, October 28. Damages amounting to 56,000 dollars were awarded Edward Howlett, father of Armand Howlett, a student, against the university in the Supreme Court at Edmonton through his boy becoming permanently insane as the result of hazing by students in the course of which he was divested of his clothing and dragged naked through the university corridors.
