RISE IN WOOL
THE QUEENSLAND SALES. £3,000,000 MORE TO GROWERS. (United Press Assn.— Telegraph Copyright.) Brisbane, October 28. The rise in the price of wool, if it is maintained throughout the present season, will give a return to the wool growers of Queensland of £3,000,000 more than they received in the preceding season. Approximately 146,000 bales, or about one-third of the current season’s clip, have been sold. The wool averaged slightly more than £2O per bale, compared with £l2 to £l3 last season.
