IMPROVING SERVICE
RADIOPHONE TO AUSTRALIA. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.5 p.m.) London, October 28. Experiments designed to extend the hours of communication and general efficiency of the Australian radiophone were discussed by Mr Fisk, chairman of Amalgamated Wireless, and Colonel Angivin, chief of the Post Office Wireless Department, during a visit to .the Rugby and Baldock wireless stations which are the radiophone’s English terminals. The Press Association understands there is considerable promise of curtailing the neriod of wireless beam fading. Mr "Fisk is visiting Germany on October 29 at the invitation of the German Wireless Company and thence goes to Holland to inspect the Phillips organization; also the French overseas wireless service, the management of which is interested in the possibility of establishing direct service to Australia.
