WOMEN’S DIVISION
SOUTH HILLEND BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the South Hillend branch of the W.D.F.U. was
held on October 24 when Mrs Wilson presided over a good attendance. Various matters of interest were discussed at length and it was decided to forward several remits to the Provincial Executive for submission to conference. It was also decided to forward a donation of 5/- towards th<?” prize fund for the forthcoming woollen display. Mrs Muir gave a very fine demonstration on the making of paper flowers and was accorded a hearty vote of
thanks. Miss H. Clark has kindly consented to give a demonstration on cane work at the next meeting. An interesting and enjoyable one act play “Rabbits" was read by Mesdames C. Wilson, J. Muir, W. Langford and Miss Kelly. Hostesses for the meeeting were Mesdames Cox, W. Langford and Miss K. Boyle.
