While a wedding was in progress in St. Paul’s Church, Auckland, the other morning, fire broke out in the upholstery of a sedan car parked outside the church and belonging to one of the guests. A passer-by saw the outbreak and endeavoured to suppress it with the car’s patent extinguisher, which, however, failed to work. The city brigade was then called, and the flames were quickly extinguished.
