RATE NOTICE. WAIKIWI RIVER BOARD. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Meeting of the Board held on October 27, 1933, the following Motion was carried: — THAT this Board, pursuant to the provisions of Section 87 of “The River Boards Act, 1908,” and Section 9 of ‘The River Boards Amendment Act, 1913,” do hereby make and levy on a graduated scale according to a classification of land within the said district made pursuant to Section 23 of “The Counties Amendment Act, 1913,” a GENERAL RATE of Sixpence per acre on lands in Class (a), that is lands receiving or likely to receive immediate and direct benefit; a GENERAL RATE of Sixpence per acre on lands in Class (b), that is lands receiving or likely to receive less direct benefit, and a GENERAL RATE of Twopence per acre on lands in Class (c), that is lands receiving or likely to receive only an indirect benefit, for the period beginning Ist April, 1933, and ending 31st March, 1934, and due and payable in one sum at the Office of the Board, Newburgh’s Building, Esk Street, Invercargill, on Ist December, 1933. The above General Rate is in addition to the Special Rate of 6/6 on (a) lands, 3/- on (b) lands, and 4d. on (c) lands, already struck, making a total rate of 7/- per acre on (a) lands, 3/6 on (b) lands, and 6d. on (c) lands.
