PIERROT TO THE RESCUE
SWIMMER SEIZED WITH CRAMP. Hundreds of holidaymakers at Bournemouth a few weeks ago loudly cheered Mr Peter Romoff, a member of a concert party on Boscombe Pier, who, in his pierrot costume, dived off the pier-head and swam 150 yards to the help of a swimmer seized with cramp. Mr Romoff held him up until a boat launched from the pier reached them both and brought them ashore.
