EASTERN SOUTHLAND SUBEXECUTIVE. The Eastern Southland Sub-execu-tive of the W.D.F.U. met on Saturday, when there was a good attendance of delegates presided over by Mrs Stewart. Further arrangements were made in connection with the hand work display at the forthcoming Gore A. and P. Show, the committee of which wrote granting space. It was decided to form a central depot at Gore to dispose of surplus clothing from the branches for necessitous country cases. This depot is only to supplement the charitable work of the individual branches. In this connection Mrs Stewart drew attention to the work done by the central .committee for New Zealand, which had provided financial assistance to 93 families during the past three months. Mrs Smith and Mrs McKinnel spoke upon dental clinic treatment, and the extent to which it is available to country children in the Gore district.
