“I usually come here to make some money; to-day I am inclined to think I shall not go out without losing some,” said Sir R. Heaton Rhodes at the opening of St. Saviour’s Fair at the Caledonian Hall, Christchurch, on Wednesday afternoon. Sir Heaton amplified the first part of his statement by explaining that the wool sales were held in the Caledonian Hall.
