SOLD FOR SCRAPPING
OLD BRITISH STEAMERS. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, October 24. According to Lloyd’s list about 77,000 tons of British shipping was sold last week to Holland, Italy and Japan for scrapping, including the Federal liners Pahipahi and Pipirihi to Italy at about £7500 apiece and the Pareora and Pariri to Japan for about £B9OO and £B6OO respectively.
