RELIEF WORKERS CONCERT AND DANCE. (From Our Correspondent.) On Friday the Southern Maori concert party gave an enjoyable concert in the Drill Hall in aid of the local relief workers’ gumboot fund. Mr S. G. Burtenshaw was chairman and on behalf of the relief workers thanked the party for the enjoyable entertainment. The following was the programme: Opening chorus, party; haka, Messrs Te Au, Goodwillie, Belsham (2), and McKay; canoe poi, junior members of party; yodelling solo, Mr Iwi Belsham with guitar accompaniment; instrumental selection, Messrs J. McKay (ukelele) M. Belsham (steel guitar) and I. Belsham (Spanish guitar); duet, Mrs McKay and Miss Wixon (with violin accompaniment by Mr J. Wixon); Maori action song, junior girls; haka, Mesdames McKay, Belsham and Goodwillie, Miss Wixon, Messrs Te Au, McKay and Belsham; solo, Miss Wixon (with guitar accompaniment by Mr Iwi Belsham); haka, ladies of the party; solo, Mr J. Wixon (with piano accompaniment by Miss T. Goodwillie); duet, Messrs J. McKay and M. Belsham, with ukelele accompaniment; instrumental selection, Messrs J. McKay (ukelele), M. Belsham (steel guitar), and Goodwillie (banjo); double poi, Mesdames McKay and Belsham and Miss Wixon; solo, Mr J. Wixon with steel guitar accompaniment by M. Belsham; solo, Mr Iwi Belsham, with guitar accompaniment; closing chorus, party. Music for the pois, etc. was supplied by Messrs M. Belsham (steel guitar), I. Belsham (Spanish guitar), Goodwillie (violin), McKay (ukelele) and Te Au (banjo). After supper the hall was cleared for dancing, music being supplied by Miss T. Goodwillie (piano), H. Ryan and I. Belsham (guitars), C. Goodwillie (violin). Mr T. Te Au was M.C. Miss C. Todd won the cushion.
