POWER BOARDS

ENGINEERS’ CONFERENCE. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, September 26. The Secretaries’ Branch of the Electric Power Board and Supply Association met in conference to-day, Mr S. P. Day presiding. Mr J. A. Nash, president of the Power Boards’ Association, addressed the gathering. He said the rising prices showed that New Zealand had turned the comer and it was time Power Boards became busy so that they could receive the benefit.

The election of officers for the year resulted: President, Mr N. G. McLeod (Thames Valley); vice-presidents, Messrs J. G. Lancaster (consulting engineer and L. B. Hutton (Southland); executive, Messrs J. Dalmer (Waitakl), E. Hitchcock (Christchurch), H. G. Kemp (Ashburton), T. R. Overtoun (South Taranaki), H. F. Toogood (consulting engineer, Wellington), W. A. Waters (Manawatu-Oroua).
