Yesterday the Harbour Board staff placed in position a black can buoy marking the dredge moorings. The anchor is laid in 13 feet at low water, ordinary spring tides, in position 094 degrees, 500 feet from the north east corner of the ferry wharf. The Waikouaiti yesterday discharged Australian cargo and after loading for northern ports sailed for Dunedin in the late afternoon. The Government lighthouse ship Matai completed the loading of stores yesterday and sailed in the evening for Puysegur and West Coast lights. The British tanker Eclipse is reported to have cleared Palembang. Java, on September 3 with bulk petrol for the Atlantic Union Company for discharge at Sydney, Melbourne, Wellington and Auckland. The C. and D. Line's Port Hardy, which loaded at New Zealand ports, left Auckland on Thursday for London, via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. The Waikawa left Suva on September 18 for Nukualofa. Apia, and Vancouver. The Hauraki left New Plymouth on September 18 for Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney; thence Fiji. Apia and Vancouver. Advice received by the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the Rangitiki left London on September 21 for Wellington and Lyttelton. She is due at Wellington on October 25. Three Bank Line sister ships, the Alynbank. Clydebank and Weirbank, will load phosphates at Ocean Island next month for Australian or New Zealand ports. The Bank Line motor ship Inverbank arrived at Auckland on Thursday from Tampico. The vessel has a cargo of bitumen for discharge at Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington. Dunedin and Australia. The Union Company advises that the Wairuna is to leave Vancouver on October 4. San Francisco on October 10. and Los Angeles on October 12. for Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton. Dunedin, Bluff and Australia. via Nukualofa. The vessel is scheduled to reach Nukualofa on October 31 and Auckland about November 5.
