MR McDougall’s reply.
To the Editor.
Sir,—l notice Mr McDougall has replied to my letter, but he has not answered my question; I can see nothing scurrilous in my letter, I simply asked Mr McDougall if it was a fact that he was chairman at a meeting where a certain lecturer was speaking on Russia, and he, the lecturer, refused to stand up while the National Anthem was being sung by the audience, and if Mr David McDougall, M.P., said that the lecturer could sit down, lie down, or stand on his head if he wished. Mr McDougall is side-stepping the issue in quite a clever manner, but I, like many others, would like a straight out answer to this question. Mr McDougall wishes me to disclose my identity. In the meantime I prefer not to do so publicly.—l am, etc., “BE FAIR.”
