BJ.’s CHALLENGE.
To the Editor.
Sir,—l have to offer Mr Mackintosh Carter an unreserved apology for having said that he had misrepresented the 8.1. teaching in a sermon on Sunday last. I did not myself hear the address, but he has assured me that his references to cults did not include the 8.1. movement, of which he is a “deeply interested” student. He has been kind enough to assure me that he takes no offence at my letter, but I feel that a public -apology is due to him, which I gladly give.—l am, etc., B.L P.S.—As regards Mr Sampson’s challenge, I am willing, provided that he confines the debate to the matter of my second paragraph beginning . . . “I therefore ’ and ending with . . . “to that Seed,” but omitting the words “or he can select others if he lilies.” The attack must be made by Mr Sampson, and the order of reference agreed on before we start,
