INNES’S DEPARTURE. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, July 21. Confirming the announcement that he is going to England to play League for the Wigan Club, G. Innes, the All Black states he can see no immediate prospects in this country that would justify him in refusing the chance to go to England. Mrs Dundas beat Mrs Reid. 5 and 3. Mrs Dunlop beat Mrs Hewat, 3 and 1. Miss Watson beat Miss Gilmour, 7 and 6. LADIES’ INTER-CLUB MATCH. WYNDHAM v. QUEEN’S PARK. A ladies’ inter-club match between Wyndham and Queen’s Park was played on the Queen’s Park course in beautiful weather yesterday. Thirteen games were played, Queen’s Park winning eight and Wyndham five. Mrs Porter (Wyndham) thanked the members of the Queen’s Park Club for their hospitality, Mrs S. Smith replying. Following are the results, Wyndham players being mentioned first:— Mrs Porter (1 up) beat Mrs McCreary. Miss Rice (4 and 2) beat Mrs Wilson. Miss Baird lost to Mrs Miller (2 up). Mrs Traynor (2 up) beat Mrs Stalker. Mrs Ross (3 and 1) beat Mrs Clow. Mrs Murphy lost to Mrs Tait (2 up). Mrs Harper lost to Mrs Smith (J up). Mrs Ball lost to Mrs Colquhoun (6 and 4). Miss McLauchlan lost to Mrs Torrance (4 and 2). Mrs Williams lost to Miss Pope (■ and 6). Miss Richardson lost to Mrs McGregor (6 and 5). . * Mrs Robertson lost to Miss Guest (8 and 7). Rogers, 1 up; Miss Aitcheson, all square; Mrs McCrea th, 1 down. The winner of the C grade match played on Friday was Mrs G. Peterson. For those who did not qualify in the A and B grades a bisque match has been arranged and the draw will be posted in the pavilion on Monday.
