AMERICAN SENATOR’S THREAT.

A campaign is threatened by Senator Thomas (Democrat), of Oklahoma, to close or place under supervision the New York stock and Chicago grain exchanges unless a rule is adopted limiting the amount of the loss permitted on any one commodity during each day’s session.
