“THE NEW REVEILLE”

COMMENCING TO-NIGHT. Great interest is being taken in “The New Reveille” which will be presented by Mr W. Lints in the Civic Theatre to-night. The production, which will be staged on a magnificent scale, is replete with bright numbers, gay music, snappy sketches, beautify! ballets and entertaining turns. The settings, strikingly original and beautiful, show off to advantage the costuming which is as charmingly varied as the dainty ballets. Over 240 performers take part in the numerous turns which include a “Smart Military Ballet,” “American Tap Ballet,” “Lamp Shade Number,” “Oriental Number,” “By the Sleepy Zyder Zee,” “The Dance of Flames,” “Cabaret Number,” “Flying Sketch,” “Belltopper Ballet,” “Butterfly Ballet,” “Lullaby Attraction,” “Jazz Ballet,” “Mirror Ballet,” etc. Delightful singing will be also heard by the talented Orpheus Male Quartette. A special feature is an acrobatic creation danced by Miss . Rene Ward and Mr Lints. Under Mr Lints’ able direction the performers have reached a high state of efficiency so much so that they are, to quote Mr Lints, “up to professional standard.” Mr W. W. Millar is the musical director. “The New Reveille,” which is under the auspices of the Plunket Society, is assured of' a successful ’season. Mr Lints’ produc- , tions have a swing and verve that have an irresistible appeal and in each town visited he has commanded packed houses.
