FARMER’S DEATH. (Per United Press Association.) Hastings, June 26. Fatal injuries were received this afternoon by Robert Elliot, a farmer, married, when a car he was driving overturned, crushing him with an open door. Elliot, with two children, was proceeding from his home at Mangatahi, 30 miles from Hastings. The car evidently got out of control for after an erratic course it capsized. The two children climbed out uninjured. BODY FOUND IN RIVER. (Per United Press Association.) Greymouth, June 26. Harry Brietstadt, aged 60, a Reefton grocer, left home at 10.30 last night saying he felt unwell and was taking a walk. When he failed to return a search was organized by the police and his body was found at 3.30 in the Inangahua River. He leaves a widow. LORRY CAPSIZES. (Per United Press Association.) Wanganui, June 26. Arthur George Tasker, aged 9, was killed instantaneously this evening when a lorry driven by Richard Savage, capsized over a bank near Okoia, four miles from Wanganui. BOY ACCIDENTALLY SHOT. (Per United Press Association.) Whakatane, June 26 A shooting fatality occurred at Ohope, six miles from Whakatane, yesterday afternoon in which a 15-year-old boy, Francis Dodd, was accidentally killed. It appears that two cousins, Dodd and Bluett, aged 14 years, were ascending a hill. Bluett was carrying a pea-rifle. Dodd was leading the way

and turned suddenly to speak to his companion when the gun discharged, the bullet striking Dodd in the region of the heart. The injured boy succumbed on his way to hospital.
