TREMENDOUS DAMAGE
MONSOON IN INDIA. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) Calcutta, June 24 Tremendous damage was done all over India in the past 48 hours as the result of a monsoon of furious force. The Ganges and other big rivers overflowed their banks and the railways ■ me breached. Thousands of head of cattle were drowned and the inhabitants in dozens of villages are homeless while their crops were destroyed.
