BRAVERY AT SEA
BRONZE MEDAL AWARDED. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, June 14. The King has awarded the bronze medal for gallantry for saving life at sea to James William Scott, first mate of the mission steamer Southern Cross, for swimming ashore with a line despite a storm, darkness, and sharks, when the vessel was wrecked on October 31 last at Anietyum Island.
