OHAI NOTES
GOLF. (From Our Correspondent.) Weather conditions were ideal on Saturday when members of the Otautau Club journeyed to Ohai to play a friendly match with the local players. The games resulted in an easy win for the Ohai Club. Following are the results, Otautau names being mentioned first:— Ladies: Mrs Smith and Miss Ferguson (all square); Miss Campbell lost to Mrs Mclntosh 5 and 4; Miss Seatter and Mrs Lewis (allsquare); Miss Porteous lost to Mrs Murray 3 and 1; Miss O’Brien lost to Miss Wilson 4 and 3; Miss Burns lost to Mrs Gerken 3 and 2; Mrs Renowden lost to Mrs Giles 6 and 5; Mrs Farr lost to Mrs Muir 4 and 3; Mrs Ireland lost to Mrs Schoen 1 up; Mrs Milne beat Miss Porteous 3 and R „ Men—A. Milne lost to L. Edmonds 3 and 1; F. J. Smith lost to J. Lewis 2 and 1; A. Fisher lost to T. SmaU 2 and 1; C. Renowden lost to D. McIntosh 3 and 1; Farr beat F. McSaveney 3 and 2; Pritchett lost to H. Ferguson 2 up; McKenzie lost to J. Smeaton 4 and 3; Sadlier lost to S. Giles 6 and 5; C. Baineaves lost to J. Duffy 1 up. The semi-final of the mixed f° ur ~ some knock-out competition was played during the week-end and resulted as follows:—Mr L. S. Edmonds and Mrs Mclntosh beat Mr J. Smeaton and Mrs J. Lewis.
