SUPPLIES OF BOOTS
RELIEF WORKERS. DISTRIBUTION COMMENCES. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, June 14. Supplies of boots for relief workers under the first orders placed with manufacturers by the Unemployment Board are beginning to come to hand and the work of distributing them to the various centres is commencing. This task is of some magnitude and in view of the board’s desire to provide for the most necessitous cases first, others who are eligible will have to be patient and wait till sufficient supplies are available to enable general distribution to be made. It is expected that within a month distribution will be well under way.
