ORDER OF RECHABITES
FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. C. R. Sister S. Kennedy presided over a large attendance of members at. the regular fortnightly meeting of the Murihiku Tent on Monday evening. Sick pay was passed and the usual business was transacted after which the officers of the Acorn Lodge of Druids were admitted and given the Rechabite welcome by D.L. Bro. G. Skipworth on behalf of the Murihiku A.D. Bro. Roe responded on behalf of the Druids’ Lodge. At this stage’ the tent was closed and the visitors were entertained at euchre. The result was: Druids 47 points, Rechabites 40. After supper Rechabite P.C.R. Bro. Fairbairn addressed the meeting and trusted that the gathering would be the forerunner of many. He said the Druids’ representatives would take back to their lodge the good wishes of the Rechabite Order. G.P. Bro D. Gregg suitably replied on behalf of the Druids.
