This morning sterling again showed marked strength on New York and Paris following Continental speculation in the selling of the dollar and the French franc. Sterling on New York was 4.051 dollars and on Paris 85 5-16 francs. Gold has dropped 7d to £6 7/- per oz. The War Loan, 31 per cent., is quoted at £lOO 8/9. The stock markets are idle.
