BRITISH CONVERSION LOAN. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, May 6. Tenders for £50.000,000 of a 21 per cent, conversion loan, 1944-49, and Treasury Bills were opened at the Bank of England to-day. A total of £87.230.000 was applied for, and £3.400,000 in the conversion loan and £46,600,000 in bills were allotted. Applicants for the loan at £94 3/- and above received the amounts applied for in full. For bills dated 92 days, Monday to Friday, tenders at £99 17/rcccived about 24 per cent. Tenders above that received their amounts in full. Those dated 91 days, Saturday, at £99 17/9 and above also received their amounts in full.
