ACCOUNTANTS’ SOCIETY
MEETING OF DOMINION EXECUTIVE. At a recent meeting of the executive committee of the New Zealand Society of Accountants the under-mentioned were admitted to membership by virtue of having passed the necessary examinations:—Messrs J. R. Alderson (Dargaville), W. J. C. Patterson (Otorohanga), M. R. Peace and W. J. Pulman (Auckland), A. F. Lee (Napier), G. H. L. Davies (Nelson), H. S. Fanning (Wellington), N. E. Dalmer, E. Standring and M. D. Watts (Christchurch), G. R. Lee (Timaru), J. H. Gilkison, J. J. Hall, W. P. Wellington (Dunedin), A. J. Neil (Invercargill) and Miss A. M. Tietjens (Hamilton). Messrs R. J. H. Seal (Hamilton) and F. Cook (Balclutha) were classified as associate public accountants. Mr R. T. Tosswill, of Christchurch, who is proceeding to England, advised that he would be attending the International Congress of Accounting to be held in London during July. Meetings of members of the society are to be held shortly in various centres throughout the Dominion to discuss the position in regard to the society’s application for a Royal Charter.
