MASCOT PLANE CRASH

ZINGARRI DIES IN HOSPITAL. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Sydney, May 6. Joseph Zingarri, aged twenty, a galleyman of the Mariposa, who was injured in a plane crash at Mascot, died in hospital suddenly.

An aeroplane piloted by James Wear, a prominent aviator, crashed when landing near Mascot Aerodrome on April 29. Wear suffered a fractured collarbone, Joseph Zingarri, aged 20, fractured right leg and arm and nose abrasions, and Otto Heyer, aged 19, a fractured right thigh and abrasions. Zingarri and Heyer, who are seamen on the Mariposa, were returning from a flight over the harbour bridge. The mishap occurred through the engine cutting out above Mascot. The aeroplane, which was badly damaged dropped into a muddy field.
