WINTER SHOW

NEXT WEEK’S DISPLAY. PREPARATIONS WELL IN HAND. Preparations are well in hand for the Winter Show opening in the Drill Hall on Tuesday. In the hall itself workmen are busily engaged in erecting cattle stands, sheep pens, and tables for produce, home industries and dairy produce. Space has been allotted for the various trade exhibits and already a commencement has been made with some of the stands. The cheese exhibits were staged early in the week and judging was completed yesterday. The results, however, will not be known until the beginning of next week. In this connection the president of the association, Mr W. R. Ronald, who takes a special interest in the section, expressed the opinion that the display this year excelled in quality anything that had been shown in the past.
