WOMEN’S DIVISION
LUMSDEN BRANCH. (From Our Correspondent). A meeting of the Lumsden branch of the Women’s Division was held on Wednesday afternoon, May 3, when Mrs George Hamilton presided over an attendance of 34 members. Mrs Good-
win, a member of the Gore branch, demonstrated the making of basketsand trays from snow tussock. Keen interest was taken in the demonstration, many of those present trying their skill at the craft. Mrs Hamilton expressed thanks to Mrs Goodwin for the interesting afternoon, her remarks being endorsed by Mesdames Ward and Drummond. On May 9 there will be a demonstration on practical boxes from the Home Science Extension Department. The president stated that arrangements were well in hand for the annual social which was being held on Friday, May 12.
